Random pics

Our Phalenopsis orchid is flowering for the first time, so I went to get pics of that. Since I was outside with the camera I just took pics of other orchids, flowers( mango) and meh baby boy, lol

First Making its Debut ,
Spotted pink Phalenopsis ( could not find the full name for it)

Julie Mango Flowers
Looking at the amount of flowers the tree has and the amount of fruit that it usually bears, I go have to go and sell mango in the market yes ( there will be plenty)
This Vanda bears all year round and its one of the most durable flowers ever. The petals are thicker than some plant's leaves
The pool was just looking gorgeous in this weather
Ma baby boy..... he is wayyyy tooooo sweet.

Makeup for wedding

I think I'll move this to a page( as opposed to a post) later. Yesterday I went to the wedding of one of my oldest friends. To me my makeup was normal( since I have practised this look a lot, but never wore it out in day) and everyone loved it. From the people at my table, to the car trunk crew ( I was the only gal outside taking drinks from a cooler, in typical trini fashion), even my body art client ( who is with Miss Universe organisation and for him to like it was the best compliment for the day )

Foundation- Revlon Airbrush Mouse in Toast ( which is nothing to special IMO), L'Oreal Infallible Advanced in Soft Sable ( I swear by this foundation, it stays on whole freaking day)
Powder- Sacha Compact in Perfect Tan ( people bash sacha but they truely are made for Caribbean skin colours and I never found another that beats it to match me)
Lips- Revlon in Raspberry bite ( the boldest blue red colour ever, not for the faint hearted lol)
Eyes- Nyx Primer
Ambrosia- loose shadows in Isis( gold green), Fairytale( purple), Pacifica ( not seen in pic), Roulette colourwheel , Black, Black Opal Gold Rush for all contouring
Liners- Revlon Khol in blackest black, Milani Liquid Eye in Purple, Maybelline Lash Stilletto Liner, Ruane Glitter gel in Purple
Mascara- L'Oreal Double extend in Black
Brows- Revlon Gel Liner
Bronzer- Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess ( dont see it here but in daylight it shows up)
Setting Products: Fix it spray ( of course, every trini gal with makeup needs this) and E.L.F HD powder ( if you dont have this, GET it)

Hmmmm no Wonder makeup like this takes me an hour to do ( clients are almost half the time hehe)

Oh and these pics were taken in the night, some 8 hrs after it was applied

Greatest Group shot Ever

As a physicist, I can say that there is no more EPIC PHOTOGRAPH that has ever existed nor will ever exist as the one below. These are the rockstars of physics. Groupies would have passed out at the sheer greatness of this group. It is a miracle that they all didn't spontaneously create an event horizon with egos and animosity some of them had for each other..... that photographer should have been awarded a Nobel prize for Peace. hehe

Hubble 3D

Went to IMAX to watch Hubble 3D. Not as amazing as Space Station was, but still good.
First the trailers, regular movies, blah blah ( funny, spiderman trailer was in 2D). The trailer for Born to be Wild is always super cute and produces tears. Then came the trailer for Imax Under the Sea.
Oh
My
God!!!!
Wow, you know when you see those exaggerated simulations of 3D movies with the images jumping out of the screen? That is what this trailer was like. The most spectacular thing to see. I would go back to watch that trailer alone ( ok I wouldn't really, but I could   hehehe).

Hubble, basically a short film on Hubble's past and current findings ( nothing I didn't know already though....... which was a little disappointing that I didn't actually learn anything). The 3D rendering for the star travel was so stunning, it was hypnotic. What made my day was seeing and hearing Atlantis launch from Cape Canaveral. Wow. That would shake your very core. I am 100% certain you have never heard anything like that in cinema before. By the time the solid boosters had disengaged I was in tears. Was soooooooooo freaking amazing. I WOULD watch that again just to see that scene. I swear.

Definitely will make the effort to go to every single Imax documentary film, they are always worth it.

Oh if only Hugo was in imax format...... I am going to go on about that film for a good while yes, hehehe

Quote for the day

Wow I am so in love with this movie, cannot get it out of my head

Best quote from the film
"Right after my father died, I would come up here a lot. I'd imagine the whole world was one big machine. Machines never come with any extra parts, you know. They always come with the exact amount they need. So I figured if the entire world was one big machine, I couldn't be an extra part. I had to be here for some reason. And that means you have to be here for some reason too." Brian Selznick

Humming bird illustration

Hmmm I think I gonna draw something everyday after school the rate I going. Came across this in a local magazine, so gave it a go.

Think I gonna have to leave a watercolour set in school now too. Already reaching limitations with the watercolour pencil set. Oh have got to rinse my brushes well after use with colours, particularly with black, hehe...... learning curve, still on that slope.

Music to make your soul fly

Been in a super, deep low for a long while and I know how to fix it ( if not fix, but at least banish it to the back of my mind), and it was only today I made the time to do something about it. Easy actually, Me+MP3 player on very loud+ 30 mins+chase bothersome form 6ers = Stupid ass Smile

NO way I have ever, EVER listened to this once. This morning I played it super loud 5 times in a row.

Been a long long time fave of mines and it will never get old

A new fave.

Now to download score from Hugo, I think that movie helped to lift my spirits, so freaking beautiful. Came out of the cinema with my hands shaking.

Lily drawing/painting

Tried this in school today while waiting for my brother. The entire flower was done with my watercolour pencils and then I coloured in the background with charcoal..... kinda messy with that, lol.
I can still clean it up later.

Oops missing some dots on 3 petals, go fix that too.

Playing around with pencils still

I did two pieces after school today. This one is from my Art callender ( didn't take the name of the original work though, will get it later).
Not all that good. Paper got soaked through, think I would have to try this with paint later yes. Face was terrible imo. The lady is supposed to be on a sofa, but that's where the paper was wet and it starting to bead. So I had to stop. Need another type of paper/material to use the pencils( when washing them) and the sumi ink.

Peacock Feathers

The day I bought my watercolour pencil set I said I was gonna do some feathers. That was almost 2 months ago and Finally got to them.

This I did around 1am this morning. Its ok enough

I did this after school. First one drawn was the center one, and its my least liked one. I really like the other two though. The bottom one for feather placment and the top one just looked right.
