Finally got it right

Geez, talk about feeling DUMB !!!

All the years I have been trying to catch clearer pics of the sun during late sunrises/ early sunsets, but there is too much light and it always overwhelms the reciever. So this morning, I was playing around...... again..... and I try sending the aperature speed way up. I DID NOT know it could go to 250........ or 4 ms per shutter release. OMG, that was the little bit of brain boost i needed yes.

This is the pic with a shutter speed of  0.1 seconds

This is sunrise a couple of mins later with the 4ms rate
A couple more
The first one is with the zoom at a minimum, hence why the metalwork from the window in the way. Tomorrow I trying this with a wide lens ( weather permitting)
LOVING the sun pillar I caught.

1 min later......... the sun rises pretty fast
( In trinidad we do rotate at nearly  1640 km/hr anyway)
Ohhh opened up a wider range ( time wise) of shots I could take, YAY.......... sounds silly but if people could have seen my face when I got these shots........ Made my day ( well the first hr of it)...... ( update)....... lol that was short lived, got ready for work and ended up with a headache and some crazy nausea.. :-(
